The Shivling, which is enshrined in Jageshwar Dham in Bandakpur, Bundelkhand, has remained the center of wonder for many years. This Shivling is getting wider every year. The reason behind this is still unknown.

Lord Shiva is sitting in the pilgrimage area Jageshwarnath Dham Bandakpur located in Damoh of Bundelkhand since time immemorial. His fame is not limited to MP but is spread all over India. This is the reason that one who travels to the four dhams does not live without visiting this shrine. Where the first Shrinath ji has this Swayambhuling. By seeing him, all the wishes of the devotees are fulfilled.
Even great personalities like Shri Swarupanand Ji Saraswati Maharaj have realized the awakening of Shiva Linga with the mere sight. Since 1972 till now, the glory of Shivling has been spreading quadruple day by day. Here, huge crowds of devotees take the form of a fair on festivals like Basant Panchami to Mahashiv Ratri. At a distance of about 31 meters from the temple of Shri Mahadev ji, there is another temple in front. Right in front of Mahadev, there is a statue of Mother Parvati in this temple, whose life was consecrated in 1844 AD. The idol of Mother Parvati is seated right in front of Shri Jageshwar Nath Ji Mahadevji in the sanctum sanctorum of the temple. This idol is of marble. The sight of the idol of the mother falls right on Jageshwarnath ji Mahadev. It has amazing art views.

Since ancient times, on the festivals of Basant Panchami, Shivaratri, lakhs of people perform Jalabhishek by offering the water of Narmada Maa on foot to Shri Jageshwarnath. For this reason, there is an ancient belief that on climbing one and a half lakh kanwars, the flags of the temples of Mother Parvati and Mahadev bow down to each other’s temples and tie knots on their own. Overwhelmed by these real miracles, devotees celebrate the festival of swayamvara of Lord Shiva Parvati with great pomp on Mahashiv Ratri festival. In this, thousands of Shiva devotees come with the procession of Lord Shiva from Damoh three gulli. The procession goes from Badakpur Dham to Rohaniya, the village of Mata Parvati.

On the festival of Mahashiv Ratri, the special adornment of Lord Shiva becomes the bridegroom and the worship consecration starts from 4 o’clock in the morning. In this, after offering Bhog to the Lord at 12 noon, Maha Aarti is performed at 7.30 pm and Mahabhishak Puja is performed from 10 pm to 3 pm.
