NIC District Centre, Damoh (MP)








National Informatics Centre (NIC) is a premiere S&T organization of the Government of India in the field of Informatics Services and Information Technology (IT). NIC has established a nationwide ICT Network – NICNET – with gateway nodes in Central Government Departments, 36 State/UT Secretariats, and in almost all District Collectorates, for IT services.
The NIC Damoh was established in 1988, to play a catalytic role in promoting informatics culture and providing ICT services to government departments/organizations, besides implementing various e-Governance initiatives with the best possible technology support for achieving targeted goal of delivering efficient citizen services to the common public in the district.

National Level Projects

National Animal Disease Reporting System (NADRS): The National Animal Disease Reporting System, in short NADRS, is a new Centrally Sponsored Scheme proposed for implementation during last three years of the 11th Five Year Plan with cent percent Central assistance. The reporting system will enable the Block, District and State Veterinary Department officials to report the disease information and render prescribed reports and returns via internet.


Agriculture Marketing Network (AGMARKNET) :

Agriculture Marketing Information System Network (AGMARKNET) - Agricultural Marketing is an area for the second generation of green revolution problems. The project aims at improving the prevailing agricultural marketing information system by minimising the gap between generation and dissemination of market information. The major components of AGMARKNET are establishment of Computing Facilities and Networking, Development of Human Resource, Information Transmission, Development of Database and Portal on Market Information.



Consumer Forum Network (CONFONET)

The project was initiated in 2006 with installation of hardware, setting up of LAN and installation of Application Software. Training to the staff of the District Consumer Forum was provided on basic computer operations and the operation of the software. Registration of backlog cases has been completed and the online registration of consumer cases is being done. Daily cause-list is being uploaded on the web site.


Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (MG-NREGS)

The MIS has been implemented in all the seven blocks of the districts and is being used effectively for monitoring the status of implementation of National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme(NREGS).



Under the NEGP program of GOI, NIC district centre is playing vital role in implementation of e-court system, establishment of Video conference system, LAN in court premise, uploading of data, arrangement etc. NIC district centre coordinated the networking issues and given full pledged technical support.


MP/MLA LAD implemented for District Planning Office, which facilitates works monitoring sanctioned under MP/MLA local area development funds.


7th All India Education Survey - Support for Master School Directory Creation and updating status on the website developed for monitoring this project.


NDAL (National Database on Arms Licences)- Objective of this software is maintain the centralized database of the Rrms Licences issued all over India.


Immigration Visa and Foreigners’ Registration and Tracking (IVFRT) :

In order to Modernize and upgrade the Immigration services, “Immigration, Visa and Foreigners Registration & Tracking (IVFRT)” has been identified and included as one of the MMPs to be undertaken by the Ministry of Home Affairs under the National e-Governance Plan (NeGP).

The implementation of this MMP will enable authentication of traveler’s identity at the Missions, Immigration Check Posts (ICPs) and Foreigners Registration Offices (FROs) through use of intelligent document scanners and biometrics, updation of foreigner’s details at entry and exit points, improved tracking of foreigner’s through sharing of information captured during visa issuance at Missions, during immigration check at ICPs, and during registration at FRRO/ FROs .


State Level Projects


Samagra Samajik Suraksha Mission(SSSM)

Portal is an innovative e-Governance initiative of NIC and MP SSSM for the effective implementation of Madhya Pradesh Integrated Social Security Program for Proactive, Responsive and Transparent Governance. NIC designed and developed a common portal  and a comprehensive work-flow based application and MIS  to facilitate the implementation  of the initiative in a hassle free and efficient manner.


e-Uparjan (Wheat/Paddy Procurement Monitoring System)

There are many procurement centers spread in 7 Tehsils of the Damoh District. The software is an effective, efficient and transparent system for monitoring the procurement centre wise status of daily wheat procurement in the State. An online application of e-Uparjan MIS is also available at for monitoring of wheat procurement at District, Divisional & State level.


e-District Project

Developed by NIC for online e-governance solution and automation of LokSeva Guarantee Adhinium 2010.


Land Record Computerisation

The project involves timely updation of the Land details of the land owners, doing mutation entry, printing of Khasra and B1. The computerised copies of Khasra and B1 are being distributed all over the district at all the tehsil headquarters. The maps has also been digitised and incorporated in the software.


Parakh (Basic Services/Amenities Monitoring System)

This program has been launched by the State Govt. for monitoring the services provided to citizens by different department. Village wise survey is done every month to get the status of the functioning of different departments. NIC MP State Centre has developed a software to capture the data of the survey and generation of various MIS reports for the District Administration to monitor the performance of various department. The data is also displayed on the web-site for public access and information. State Level monitoring of the scheme is done by the Chief Secretary on every third Thursday of the month through video conference. The Collectors of all the Districts and the Commissioners of all the Division participate in the VC.


Samadhan On-line

This facility has been started to resolve the public grievances online by the Hon'ble Chief Minister. All the Public grievances received by the CM Office are kept online. A web site has been designed, developed and hosted by the NIC M.P. State Centre Bhopal through which about 15 applications, selected randomly, are sent to the concerned officials online for submission of report on the same day. The report on the grievance should reach CM Office on the same day. CM takes up these grievances one by one with the respective Collectors online on Video Conference on the same day and issue necessary instructions for the redressal. First Tuesday of the month has been fixed for the VC.


ELECTION :  In Loksabha & Vidhansabha election NIC Damoh acting a major role. All election work are done through computers. Polling party formation,polling station randamization,polling percentage and counting result are done through computer.NIC is also providing computerization support in Panchayat,Mandi & Municipalty Elections.



LAN Installation : Local Area Network has been established in Collectorate for data transmission, email & internet access.  The NIC has extended LAN connectivity to Food, Rajeev Gandhi Siksha Mission, Agriculture, Panchayat & Social Justice, Election & Local Election, Tribal Welfare, Excise, Mining, Sainik Welfare, Planning, Antvavsayi Departments and Tehsil Office.   The Collector, ADM & Dy. Collectors Chambers and Samadhan Kendra  are also connected through LAN.

Video Conferencing facility :  Video Conferencing Studio has been established in the District . Most of the departments are reviewing their schemes on weekly basis through NIC video Conferencing Facility.
